My current obsession (since purchasing my Cricut Explore Air 2) is decorating the mantel. I've always loved St. Patrick's Day and my boyfriend is Irish...so I went all out.
The canvases are painted green and then I adhered vinyl lettering that I cut on my Cricut machine. I purchased the SVG files on Etsy. For the garland, I used a basic shamrock shape from a Google search and the Clover Doily image from Cricut Design Space (#M549EE). I tied the paper cutouts together using a simple ribbon. For the ball garland, I just strung green and gold pom poms on yarn.
To make the clover "pots" I cut various sized clover images in the different papers I used in the garland and hot glued them to bamboo skewers. I got the cute metal pots from Hobby Lobby and filled them with foam and moss to hold the skewers.
It was a lot of fun to design and make. I have to say it has definitely added some fun to the den :-)
